"In my opinion, the first Pretty Cure season is the worst and most boring."

I have heard that. Then again I've also heard it's the best. I've only seen Heartcatch and Smile so I dunno.

Also, many thanks to the tumblr staff who will be providing two new confessions a day for a while. I was about to give the forum it's first day without a confession.

But honestly, I agree. I couldn't get past episode ten of this. I tried, I really did, I know it's a classic... but no. Sorry.

First day without confession? I thought there are still some confessions that can be used... like the Pretear, Kyubey, Full Moon drama, Ganbalance, etc. just curious, how do the confessions posted in the forum get chosen?

Anyway.

I like Cure Black and White's designs. I've only seen Yes!, Smile, and Heartcatch so I can't really say if it's good... but I'm interested to hear opinion from someone who have finished the show to mention why this season is the best.

Well I try to avoid ones that are too general to have any real discussion. "X Needs More Love." "Z is the most awesome Magical Girl." But if it comes to that, I'll go ahead and seek some of those out. I actually considered compiling all the "Needs more love" confessions into one thread, since they're so repetitive.

Well, a few years ago I tried it. And I was Pretty Bored. Not gonna lie, it didn't appeal to me at all. And I have that problem with the whole series. I loved the design of Cure White's dress though, reminded me of a sweet lolita dress =)

But you know, Pretty Cure is 2004 material. Just like Mermaid Melody and Tokyo Mew Mew. Very decent for it's time, but comparing it with recent stuff is unfair. Those series are 8(!) years old. And it's not just the animation that's better (I honestly think that anime from the early to mid 00's had terrible animation and I would choose 90's cel animation over them any day of the week). The uudience changes, it's looking for different things. Futari wa Pretty Cure and whatever the latest season is atm, may be part of the same franchise, but are totally different series.

I think you're more likely to find the original series boring if you watched Yes! Pretty Cure 5 or anything that came after it first.
