The latest episode was: the secret of my excess

as much as I like Rarity's song in this episode, I couldn't help but think of the songs from the 4kids Winx Club dub.

I was using the "General Discussions" thread for this sort of thing, but no one wanted to discuss episodes until now. XD

The latest one I've seen is "May The Best Pet Win." So I have a bit to catch up on.

I figured general discussion was for well, general discussion about the show, general bitching and fangirling/boying over whatever wasn't covered elsewhere. DX

That's great for really active forums. XD

But this is fine. Whatever gives us one more excuse to make a new thread.

I really liked Sweet and Elite, which is logical as Rarity is my favorite pony <3 She's so fabulous. I'm still replaying that song every hour~

If I remember, the others never really discover Rarity's lies though? This being a kids show (officially anyway xD), that irks me because I was expecting a Why-you-shouldn't-lie lesson Rarity style. Instead the lesson is Lie-to-them-all-you-want-but-stand-up-for-them-against-rich-douchebags xD

After this episode I'm convinced that Rarity should wear different hairstyles more often. Her French/Hipster/Artsy style was so amazing <3 Rarity kissing Celestia's hooves was hilarious btw xD

I got done with "The Masked Mare-Do-Well" Recently, and while I do agree with some of the complaints, It wasn't as bad as they made it sound. Showing up Rainbow Dash like that was kind of a jerk move, but she had it coming, given how much her ego was growing.

This season seems to love the taking jerks down a peg theme.

Masked-Mare-dowell was an alright episode. I am sick of these Rainbow Dash themed episodes so seeing a Rarity episode made me happy.

There has been a few Rarity based episodes too. I'd like to see more AJ and Fluttershy but what I didn't expect was a Spike based episode and you know what? I liked it!

What did you guys think about Family Appreciation Day? I sorta liked it, but the Cutie Mark Cruscaders don't really interest me enough, and I would rather have an Applejack episode, instead of one focusing on Apple Bloom. I mean, The Cutie Pox (only 6 episodes ago) already focused on her for the most part, so why another episode? There are enough characters to worry about, mainly Pinkie Pie (next week!), Applejack and Fluttershy who aren't doing much this season.

I'm still on the Christmas episode but I already know what you're talking about. I'm sick to death of the Cutie Mark Crusaders. They get way too much focus compared to the main characters. We had the Sisterhooves Social episode, a Sweetie Belle episode, immediately followed by The Cutie Pox, an Apple Bloom episode.

Pinkie Pie meanwhile only has two or three focus episodes in the first season, two of which are much reviled.
