So, there's a rumor going around about the new Precure series being called Smile Pretty Cure. Already, fanart is cropping up as well as "official" art. What have you heard about it? Do you think it's legit?



This image has been all over the web. It looks like good art, but seems fake to me because it looks old (not like the newer, brighter Precures have) and too much like Yes! Precure 5! to be real. Then again, the Splash Star girls looked a lot like Futari Wa, so maybe that means nothing.

On top of that, THE HAIR. I really hope this ISN'T real. It might shatter my faith in Pretty Cure forever.

I don't think it's legit and I hope it isn't. Those hairstyles look weeeeeeeeird.

Some of the fanart that's been cropping up makes me think they might be somewhat cute. MAYBE.





Also, this was "leaked" earlier and is different, meaning at least one of the images is a fake.



It looks so much like our Splash Star girls (and the word smile is mispelled) that I'm inclined to believe this one is faking, but this article made me question that a little bit. That and the fact that Pretty Cure seems to have a pattern of starting with two Cures and growing.

Also, I just found out that the name "Smile Pretty Cure" is confirmed. It was registered on September 28, 2011.

I actually like it - it reminds me a bit of the early 2000s magical girl stuff and Fresh!/HeartCatch, which are some of my favourite series to date.

I just can't enjoy Suite like I enjoyed HeartCatch. I'm so far behind on this series it's not even funny but can't place where it went "wrong" for me. I like the characters, music and the story for the most part, so I don't know why I'm not enjoying this more.

Maybe I'm addicted to the cutesy look of the older seasons so I really don't mind at all if PreCure goes back to a more childlike look like the older series have...I also don't mind that hair, though I bet it will look funny in motion (plus that mascot looks like the Heartcatch mascots crossed with sheep, which is bizzare at best. Then again I hated Hummy's design til I saw it in motion - it's really cute when you see it animated!)

That last image looks so funny, way too close to Saki/Mai to be true.....right? I like the other fanarts, though!

Someone on dA said they heard that the pink Cure will be Cure Crystal.

If the group picture turns out to be fanart, I bet the person who put it out there is loving him/her self right now.

I really, REALLY love everything about the leaked images.~ I think it has a lot of charm and the hair is different.~~~~ I love that that's it's not just another pink-tail,pony-tail, or hair down. I'm having such high hopes for this cause the pink one reminds me of what I would hope for Tsubomi’s little sister......But that might me getting WAY a head of myself....again... ;v;

Real or not, I'm cool with whatever they choose for Smile as long as it's pretty and the characters are likeable.

The Toei website has officially released the Smile Precure logo!



I LOVE it! I hope that this is a sign of better things to come (better than those "official" images, at least)!

Also, the rainbow of five colors seems to lend credibility to the more realistic of those images, huh? I just realized it. I hope it's only a couincidence.

Eh. At this point the only thing I'm hopeful for is another Precure All-Stars DX Movie. I wanna see Tsubomi, Erika, Itsuki and Yuri again. T_T
